Official Announcement for the Conduct of the Chinese Language Proficiency Examinations (HSK) on January 8, 2022
What is HSK?
HSK is the international official test for proficiency in the Chinese language at everyday, academic, and professional levels for non-native speakers. It includes 9 levels, starting from the basic level HSK1.
HSK is useful and necessary because:
- It provides the necessary qualifications for foreign students in China
- It provides the necessary qualifications for scholarships from the Confucius Institutes and participation in summer camps.
- It provides opportunities for participation in the Confucius China Study Program, with scholarships for doctoral studies.
When and where will the HSK exams take place?
The exams will take place on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki campus (the exact location will be announced in due course).
HSK 1: 1:30 PM (duration: about 40 minutes)
HSK 2: 9:00 AM (duration: about 45 minutes)
HSK 3: 1:30 PM (duration: about 90 minutes)
Who can take the exam?
All interested individuals can take the exams at one of the 3 available levels through the Confucius Institute at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, not just our students.
What is the cost of the exams?
The exam fees for the 3 levels are as follows:
HSK 1: 50 euros, HSK 2: 60 euros, HSK 3: 80 euros.
What is the procedure?
- You go to the examination website (www.chinesetest.cn), find the examination center 'Confucius Institute at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki,' and select the level at which you want to take the exam.
- You should pay the examination fees by December 12, 2021. Otherwise, your participation will be automatically canceled.
- Please ensure that all your information is correct. If you haven't paid the examination fees yet, you can access the platform to update your personal information. After paying the examination fees, please contact us for confirmation. Kindly send us a copy of your deposit (in PDF format) to confucius-institute@auth.gr.
- Your examination ticket will be ready on the Monday of the examination week, and you will be able to find and print it from the platform.
Preparation for the exams
The Confucius Institute at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki provides you with samples of official exams for the three levels, as well as downloadable vocabulary. For more information, please contact us.
When will the exam results be announced?
On February 15, 2022, candidates can log in to the platform (www.chinesetest.cn), enter their personal examination ticket number and name to view their results. Printed results will be sent to the Confucius Institute at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki 45 days after the examination day. Candidates can collect them by presenting their ID and examination ticket.
