Confucius Institute Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

The Confucius Institute was established at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in December 2018, and it is a collaboration between AUTh, Shanghai International Studies University (SISU), and the Center for Language Education and Cooperation.

The Confucius Institute is a non-profit educational organization that began its operation in the academic year 2019-2020 with the primary goal of contributing to the preservation and promotion of the intellectual heritage and creativity of the two countries through Chinese language classes.

Its mission is to teach and promote the Chinese language, develop joint educational and research programs between universities, and promote Chinese culture through various cultural and educational events accessible to the wider community of AUTh and Thessaloniki.
