Announcement of Chinese Language Teaching for the winter semester 29/9/2025 to 16/1/2026

The spring semester of Chinese language courses for the academic year 2025 - 2026 covers the period 29/09/2025 to 16/01/2026, according to the academic calendar.

Students and citizens over 18 years of age who are interested in enrolling for the winter semester are kindly requested to until 16/09/2025 carefully read the announcement and the registration instructions and fill in the application form on the page - expression of interest form

Before your application, if you do not know the level you belong to, contact our teachers, to the contact details as below.

At levels where more than (1) Department is offered, select (1) Department.

There will be a first come, first served basis for the face-to-face participation, depending on the availability of our rooms, with a maximum of one person per room. number (15) in the application forms for each Section.

General Information About Courses: 

  • Classes are held for all levels, for each Department, once (1) a week for (2.5) hours, corresponding to (3) teaching hours, according to the academic calendar and with the main language of communication with the teacher being English (unless "Greek" is mentioned in the Department).
  • At the end of each semester, after the final evaluation of the students at the IC of AUTH, a certificate of attendance is issued by the Chinese language teacher. The results of the evaluation do not affect whether one can attend the same or the next course in the next semester.
  • Where mentioned in the programme "online" the course carried out exclusively at a distance of our students, outside of Thessaloniki.
  • Where mentioned in the programme "In person" means that the courses take place in physical presence, on the premises of the Confucius Institute, 32, King Heraklion Street, near Aristotelous Square, on the 8th floor.
  • The Confucius Institute reserves the right to change the programme if necessary, by informing the students.

Student Selection Process & Registration Completion 

  • The selection of students is based on the date of completion of the online application and the date of completion of the tuition fees. Priority will be given.
  • Within a reasonable period of time after the deadline for applications, an information message will be sent on whether the request has been accepted. The information message will include all information on how to complete the registration / tuition payment.
  • Registration is completed with the immediate one-time payment of the tuition fees.
  • In case the fees are not paid, the place is available to the next interested person in the order in which the application form is completed.

Cost of the semester

Upon completion of registration, the tuition fees are paid in advance in one lump sum with a deadline of 1 Januaryη week of course attendance.

It is not possible to get a refund after payment.

The cost of the semester includes books in electronic form, for which the teaching staff are responsible and you can contact them.
