Registration Instructions

Step 1

Find out what level of course I can register for. The following levels are offered in the Spring Semester 2023-2024:

  • Elementary A
  • Elementary B
  • Elementary C
  • Elementary D
  • Intensive Character Writing
  • Intermediate A
  • Intermediate C
  • Advanced A

The language of communication with the teacher is English. For questions concerning courses, materials, books, exams and other matters, please contact your teacher in English and only for registration issues at the e-mail address of the IS, confucius-institute@auth.gr

I have taken Chinese language courses in the past, what level should I choose?

We recommend that you contact your teacher by e-mail who will help you join at the level that is best for you.

What is included in my registration?

The amount you pay for your registration includes the book you will use (if necessary, you will have to pay the shipping costs).

Attention

  • Wherever "Online" is mentioned in the programme, the course will be held exclusively at a distance in any case for the convenience of our students outside Thessaloniki.
  • Wherever the term 'Face-to-face' is mentioned, this means that the courses will take place face-to-face inside the classrooms of Confucius Institute, located at Vas. Herakliou 32, near Aristotle Square in Thessaloniki, on the 8th floor.
  • All classes will be conducted face-to-face, provided the conditions allow, following the guidelines of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. All protective measures are taken for participation in face-to-face classes.
  • Confucius Institute reserves the right to change the schedule as deemed necessary with notification to the students.

Step 3

I find the tuition fees that are appropriate for the level I will attend. The amount below includes the books that will be used in the course.

The cost for the semester is:

For Elementary A, B, C, D are:

  • The cost for undergraduate students (with a student ID) is 150 euros
  • The cost for employees working at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (with proof) is 170 euros
  • The cost for unemployed individuals (with unemployment card) is 170 euros
  • The cost for employed individuals/general category is 200 euros (no proof required)

For Intensive Character Writing, Intermediate A, C & Advanced A's:

  • 170 euros for undergraduate students (with a student ID)
  • 190 euros for employees working at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (with proof)
  • 190 euros for unemployed individuals (with unemployment card)
  • 220 euros for employed individuals/general category (no proof required)

Expression of Interest Form

The registration process involves making an immediate one-time payment of the tuition fees that apply to you and sending the bank transaction receipt as a PDF file (only in PDF format) to the IK's email. Additionally, for your convenience and proper record-keeping, please ensure that the filename is in Latin characters, using the student's last name (not the co-beneficiary) followed by 99512 (e.g., lastname_firstname_99512).

  • The registration is not complete if the tuition fee is not paid.
  • Refunds are only possible within the first 10 days from the start of the classes. To request a refund, you must follow the provided instructions.
  • Please check your spam folder regularly.
